How are you guys doing?

Some of you guys would be like what’s daralings, let Me clear that up first. My OG’s will know that’s how I always greet My Readers, I came up with it from My name. The blog was previously called Darakaie then my good friend Genius and I came up with the name Rhoda Doxa, Rhoda is My Mum name which is a Biblical Name:Acts 12:12-15 and Doxa means Glory.

This morning, I made a WhatsApp video showing My outfit and I asked if I should start blogging back and I got responds to start. I Miss You guys. 

When I was cooking at Rhoda Doxa African Cuisine the inspiration of writing a blogpost about the journey so far came to Me.

Few years ago, I started blogging and that’s where a lot of persons in the Caribbean got to know me. I stopped blogging because of several reasons but one was finding someone to photograph me so you guys will just love the pictures like that, it’s taken with a phone and that’s what we would be doing for now till further notice.

I started Rhoda Doxa officially has a business 2016 with a Clothing Line and selling original African Print.

Thank GOD last year we started a beauty line; Rhoda Doxa Beauty and this year, GOD enlarge our coast to Rhoda Doxa African Skincare and Rhoda Doxa African Cuisine.

At Rhoda Doxa Beauty, we have Foundation, Concealer, Powder, Blending Sponge, Lipstick, Lipgloss, Eyeshadow, Highlighter and Mascara, we basically have products to do the whole face. By GOD’s Grace, they would be available this month has we are out of stock on some and we launching new products.

We can’t forget the skin where the amazing Beauty products go on, Rhoda Doxa Skincare have Raw Shea Butter, Melanin Poppin (which is like one of My Favorite, GOD just use the product to heals My very dry skin. It has Coconut Oil, Olive Oil and Shea Butter in it), Rejuvenating Sponge, Black Soap and Beard Growth Oil which can be use for natural hair also. Did I mention Melanin Poppin can be use from head to toe.

And we can’t forget My other Baby, Rhoda Doxa African Cuisine that started basically in My Kitchen but Thank GOD, we have a Restaurant now.

It has been an amazing journey and I really want to Thank GOD for You Guys.

The Love I have received even though I am a foreigner it means a lot to Me.

Oya about the Fashion, I bought the top at a store on Rob Street is kinda opposite Scotia Banks, I would try and check the name of the store next time, I visit. The Pants is from Shamdas on Regent Street. It’s $1,000($5usd), who says Fashion has to be expensive. The Shoe is from Payless: I have small feet and must say this is like the first time I would get fashionable comfortable shoes in Guyana. They have even smaller size than what I wear. I have to go and pick up few more. So come and shop at Rhoda Doxa. The bag is not from Guyana.

RELATIONSHIP COMPATIBILITY

       Amos 3:3 Can two walk together, except they be agreed?

According to Wiktionary, compatibility is the state in which two or more things are able to exist or work together in combination without problems or conflict.

A while ago, I made a video on "The List". If you have not seen it, click the link, watch it and make sure you come back to continue reading. 

I was talking to a friend after the video and she explained to me that she had met men who possessed the qualities she had on her list but the relationships didn't work out. I couldn't understand then but recently, it became clear to me. 

How can you meet someone who possesses  all the qualities you have written on your list but you are not compatible?

Can a person who does not have everything on your list be compatible with you?

Yes, it can happen. 

There is a clear difference between wants and needs. 

Have you ever met someone randomly and when discussing, there was a connection with the person even though you do not know him or her before while someone with whom you grew up together doesn't connect with you because of individual differences? 

When it comes to being  in romantic relationships with people, this may sound selfish but your feelings must come first. This does not mean that you are ignoring the feelings of the other person.

The person maybe what you think you want, but not what you need. You are doing a disservice to yourself and the other person by keeping them around because the person may not be fully aware of what they need also. With time the person will fully understand. 

How to determine your compatibility with someone is very simple; there shouldn't be problems or conflicts all the time. 

Let go and let GOD, stop forcing things to happen, they should naturally flow without troubling your spirit or raising your blood pressure.

Let Me start by wishing you a Happy Valentine's day, but I am going to talk about the Strength to Move on.

I know today is Valentine's day - the only day some people show Love but we are not here to throw shade. 

Some ladies and gentlemen need strength to move on. We’ve all been there and those that haven’t, I pray you don’t have to go through such pain and those that are currently trying to gather strength here are some tips on how to do so.

Strength to start over; this was something I really struggled with, it was very challenging but healing is a process. 

1. You have to ask GOD for strength. You can’t do it own your own, swallow your pride and ask your maker to help you with it. He would surely do! 

2. Be ready! Are you really sure you want to start over? You can’t be double minded about it. It’s not an easy thing to do so refer back to No 1.

3. Enjoy the process. It's like building a house, you don’t worry and try to rush it. The finished product will be beautiful both in and out. As a beautiful house can’t go unnoticed, so people would see it and very soon you would invite people for the housewarming.

4. Stop hanging on to the past. If it was perfect, you won’t want to start over in the first place. Don’t worry about lost time or things, when there is life there is hope. 

I want to say a big thank you to all that waited patiently for me. Sis is back! The Blog will be centered on Advice, relationships to be precise but don’t worry, there will also be fashion based contents.

 Be very careful who you share your testimony and success with. Whenever something good happens to us, we just naturally and genuinely want to tell our friends and family but we have to be very careful who we tell, people get envious, wishing they could make such steps and forgetting that our Rome wasn't built in a day. Notice the subtle shades thrown, things people say and their action, watch my friend watch before you decide to trust anybody. At the end of the day, it is better to give Thanks to GOD than just be announcing your testimony to people, it's something you can't hide anyways.

Always remember not everyone wants to shout Hallelujah at the end of your testimony.

Have you ever been soo angry at the world, frustrated at everything around you. Things feel like they are in a stand still position and you just want everything to work the exact way you want them to be ? I know it's hard but this is not the time to make rational decisions. It's the perfect time to go on your knees and Pray. The answer may not come immediately but it's just a seed you've planted and then you sit back and watch it grow . Ladies and Gentlemen whatever you are going through GOD is in the midst of the storm. Just breathe and let GOD take the wheel.

I know, I know it has been a while, going to 3 month, omg 😲. Before I gist you guys about update of your girl. I wanna say a big Thank you 😊 to everyone that has been there from Bae to friends and people that just see me at the mall and ask me about My blog, not to mention names I love you all. GOD Bless You, My good people. 

I really do miss blogging because most of the time I am talking about new life experiences I learnt from the course of the week instead of ranting on social media, I just drop some knowledge here and there, you know. 

Anyways, in case you guys don't know I don't get paid as a blogger as of yet, even though I won't lie it comes with free invites to places, events and discount here and there. ATTITUDE TOWARDS CHALLENGES

How was the month of July ? It was a challenging one for me and for my faithful readers and to those who reached out to me I want to say I really do appreciate it. So what has been happening? I imported African Print from Africa here for Emancipation, it usually take one week but It  has been one month now and  it hasn't arrived. My Guyanase  🇬🇾 Sisters don't have chill at all, from people thinking I ran with their money probably  because I am Nigerian 🇳🇬 to even me walking on the street and people calling me like I just saw you, ha! ki lo de. When doing importing things, this happens and one has to exercise patience. 

I was planning not to blog till the goods arrive but I can't continue living like that. I do appreciate Bae and those that encourage me to Blog back, I am back and better huh. To all My loyal customers who understood and had patience with Me,Thank you 😊.
